The FOUNDATION Lift | Facelift by Dr. MO in Palm Desert, CA
The FOUNDATION Lift
You still feel like you on the inside. But lately the face looking back from the mirror, from photos, even from your Zoom window seems tired, heavier, or older than you feel. You may find yourself stepping out of pictures or holding back a laugh.
You don't want to look "done." You want to look like yourself, at your best.
That's exactly what the FOUNDATION Lift is designed to do. Developed by Dr. MO over more than two decades of facial surgery, it starts where lasting results begin: beneath the skin.

Why Faces Change With Time
After about age 30, skin loses roughly 1% of its collagen each year and gradually thins. By our mid-50s, much of that support is gone, and the changes start to show: hollows under the eyes, flattening cheeks, deeper folds around the nose and mouth, jowls along the jawline, and bands in the neck.
These aren't just skin problems. They happen because the deeper layers of the face, the fat and muscle that once held everything in place, have shifted and loosened under years of gravity and life.
That's why simply pulling the skin tighter doesn't last. Skin was never meant to carry the weight of the face on its own, and when it's asked to, results can look stretched and fade quickly.
What Makes the FOUNDATION Lift Different
- Support Rebuilt from Underneath
Dr. MO repositions and tightens the deeper tissues first, restoring the foundation your skin rests on. The skin is then redraped without tension, so it looks natural and holds up over time.
- Lifted in Three Dimensions
Your face isn't flat. It's a landscape of curves and contours, from the cheekbones to the jawline to the neck. The FOUNDATION Lift restores those contours in three dimensions rather than pulling in one direction, so you look like yourself, refreshed and years younger, never windswept.
- A Three-Layer Closure for Discreet Incisions
The finishing work is where artistry shows. Dr. MO closes the skin in three separate layers, carefully tapering incisions around the ear, the earlobe, and into the hairline.
Every detail matters: the suture material, the number and direction of stitches, their depth, and how much tension each knot carries, all matched precisely from one side of the face to the other.
As Dr. MO likes to say, a facelift is truly judged by the hairstylists in town. When they work behind your ears, they can see whether a surgeon took shortcuts. The FOUNDATION Lift is designed to pass that test.

Is the FOUNDATION Lift right for you?
You may be a good candidate if you:
Notice jowls, deepening folds, or loose skin and banding in the neck
Want results that look natural and last, not a pulled or "done" look
Want an honest assessment of what will work for your face
Are in good overall health and don't smoke, or are willing to stop before and after surgery
Any Questions?
How is the FOUNDATION Lift different from a standard facelift?
Many facelifts focus mainly on tightening skin. The FOUNDATION Lift rebuilds support in the deeper layers first, lifts in three dimensions, and closes the skin in three layers, so results look natural and incisions stay discreet.
Will I look like a different person?
No. The goal is for you to look like yourself, refreshed and rested. Friends should notice you look great, not that you "had work done."
How long do the results last?
No surgery can stop time, and I'll never promise that it does. What the FOUNDATION Lift does is reset the clock. You'll keep aging naturally, but you'll be doing it from a fresher, more youthful starting point, and because the support is rebuilt beneath the skin, your results are designed to age gracefully along with you.
What is the investment for a FOUNDATION Lift?
Every FOUNDATION Lift is custom-designed around your anatomy and goals. Your investment begins at $25,000 and depends on whether your face, neck, and eyelids are addressed, along with the individual needs of your face. Your final investment is confirmed at your consultation and includes the surgeon's fee, anesthesia, the surgical facility fee, and all follow-up visits. Flexible financing is available.
Where are the incisions?
Incisions follow the natural curves around the ear and into the hairline, and are +closed in three layers to help them heal as discreetly as possible.
What is recovery like?
Recovery happens in gentle stages, and you'll feel a little more like yourself each week:
- Week 1: Swelling and mild bruising are normal. This is your time to rest and let healing begin.
- Week 2: Swelling and bruising settle down noticeably.
- Week 3: You're ready to get back out: running errands, grocery shopping, and dinner with friends.
- Weeks 4 to 6: You'll feel about 90% back to normal, and your energy returns.
Can it be combined with other procedures?
Yes usually the aging process does not discriminate and so the eyes and fat grafting and liposuction of the neck can all be done at the same time if needed.
