The patient is 5 feet 6 inches and 220 pounds. She has significant back and abdominal lipodystrophy. She has abdominal muscle laxity and large abdominal pannus. She is coming in for liposuction of the back and tummy tuck.

I have offered this patient liposuction and tummy tuck, but she has opted to forgo liposuction of the back and flanks and just do the tummy tuck portion, even though she understands that her body may be off balanced after the tummy tuck.

She has very thick leathery Fitzpatrick type 1 skin and very ruddy. The patient on physical examination is 6 feet tall and 175 pounds. He is Fitzpatrick type 2 skin complexion, very ruddy, lots of sun damage on the face and extensive neck laxity with lipodystrophy component and neck and jowl laxity and also hollow tear troughs and malar area.
